Whenever I see La Paura I think of it as a companion piece to Eyes Wide Shut, or maybe it is the other way around. Adultery makes both films tick but in different ways. I think Phillip French was right on the money when he pointed out a Wizard of Oz thing in Kubrick's last work. Like Dorothy, Tom and Nicole go through fantasies and nightmares and at the end Dorothy's reassuring childish motto "there's no place like home" is ironically updated to the adult circumstantial adage "there's no sex like marital sex". Kubrick's take is intellectual, he never leaves the world of ideas to touch the ground. He taunts the audience first with an erotic movie and then with a thriller and refuses to deliver either of them. He was married to his third wife for 40 years, until he died. Rossellini was still married to Ingrid Bergman when he directed La Paura; they had been adulterous lovers and their infidelity widely criticized La Paura is a tale, a noirish one. The noir intrigue is solved and the tale has a happy ending. The city is noir; the country is tale, the territory where childhood is possible. The transition is operated in the most regular way: by car, a long-held shot taken from the front of the car as it rides into the road, as if we were entering a different dimension. Irene (Bergman) starts the movie: we just see a dark city landscape but her voice-over narration tells us of her angst and informs us that the story is a flashback, hers. Bergman's been cheating on her husband. At first guilt is just psychological torture but soon expands into economic blackmail and then grows into something else. From beginning to end the movie focuses on what Bergman feels, every other character is there to make her feel something. Only when the director gives away the plot before the main character can find out does he want us to feel something Bergman still can't. When she finds out, we have already experienced the warped mechanics of the situation and we may focus once again on the emotional impact it has on Bergman's Irene. In La Paura treasons are not imagined but real, nightmares are deliberate and the couple's venom suppurates in bitter ways. Needless to say, Ingrid has another of her rough rides in the movies but Rossellini doesn't dare put her away as he did in Europa 51, nor does he abandon her to the inscrutable impassivity of nature (Stromboli). His gift is less transcendent and fragile than the conclusion of Viaggio in Italia. He just gives his wife as much of a fairy tale ending as a real woman can have, a human landscape where she can finally feel at home. Back to the country, a half lit interior scene where shadows suggest the comfort of sleep. After all, it's the "fairy godmother" who speaks the last words in the movie.
比想象中好一点，改编上有一些亮点，包括更紧的人物关系以及lgbt的元素，不过围绕爱的主题加在波洛身上的人物设计比较多余，不过比《东方快车谋杀案》好看很多，配角的表演很真挚，很显出导演表演和技法上的做作。
一些动物恐怖+一些异域黄金风光+一些一看就是花了大钱的强造型，Voilà！只是没想到给波洛加了这么多背景，搞得跟黑暗骑士似的。只是希望下次片头可以有一些贴心提示，我被恐怖snake吓到心脏宕机0.01秒，久久不能回神，差点在电影院痛哭。
波洛的特色就是胡子……你给他把胡子剃了……
分析案情的时候语速飞快，生怕别人听清(跟上字幕)是吧。。。线索和伏笔也省了一些。。。政治正确直接可以排除百合和黑人了~
其实作为看柯南长大的人来说，各种作案手法、作案动机基本上都看得差不多了，尼罗河这个推理故事能留下来的原因大概是因为爱情，毕竟人心是最难测的，当然这都要归功于原著。
又名《It's always the husband》
节奏有大问题，作为一个侦探悬疑片，如果不是几位女性的颜值（和那位医生）撑着我可能已经睡着了。人物形象塑造也单薄，只好用镜头语言拼命弥补。本来期待很高的阿加莎系列，现在只求导演放过一部是一部。 （根据过去一年Gal接的戏来看，流量无处不在。

虽然一直在剪切但还是感觉节奏太慢了。那应该是叙事的问题了
登船后西蒙崩开香槟，身边的几个法国人不约而同地说：开香槟的声音不这样。

没读过原著，没看过原版，没被剧透。观感还可以，后期有猜到，不过还是不错的
推理过程太短太粗糙了导致张力不够，Armie哭戏太暴露演技Gal则短板尽显，风景大部分有棚拍的马脚，各种镜头炫技则觉得没有必要。好好拍悬疑揭秘可能会成功许多。
可怕！别再拍了。估计也拍不了了，竟然把波洛引以为豪的胡子都剃干净了，这是想干嘛？一脸问号！！狭隘的猜测肯尼思搞不好有过感情创伤，不然怎么能把波洛拍成这样。波洛是个幽默、聪明、自负却可爱，喜欢当月老的老绅士。可不是这么个苦大仇深的形象。
It is not bad.
目前还是没有超越第二部邪教单元的故事，观感尚可。期待第五部。
此外肯尼斯作为老牌导演，摄影的功底相当深厚，电影的诸多运镜与构图比东方快车更加惊艳。
味同嚼蜡。开篇的战争画蛇添足，前一小时可以用一句话概括，一部悬疑片没有任何解密的快感，哪怕我只想静静地欣赏埃及美景，也被船两边“精致”得像CG的画面劝退，更别提每个角色都好似自带舞台剧打光，Rose Leslie这么多年演技毫无进展，Gal Gadot也是迅速衰老且毫无吸引力。
金光灿灿的埃及风光和橘红色调的尼罗河风光，尼罗河游船之旅暗藏杀机。开头十分钟仿佛走错片场的黑白一战场面应该另拍成一部前传电影！符合预期，铺垫太长，只有审问和结果公布，缺失推理过程。油腻锤子哥演渣男实在太合适不过，假惺惺的痛哭大笑，我都笑出声了！淡忘了原著中的重要情节，反让观影途中获得紧张的悬疑感和未知感。虽为胶片拍摄，但和《丛林奇航》一样塑料感CG假到爆棚，全程绿幕电影？Emma Mackey演技绘声绘色，狡黠邪魅的表演过目难忘，比Samara Weaving更像Margot Robbie，三人啥时候组成三姐妹？看了半晌才认出久违多年的Russell Brand！Annette Bening风韵犹存，上一部的《东方快车谋杀案》有Michelle Pfeiffer，这一部有同为美女老戏骨的她，真好啊！[2.23看的]
