The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 延续花束般的消费主义恋爱但跳过金句，快进到xxoo。然后又插叙说黑岛结菜已婚，于是就变成北村匠海被社会捶打史+两眼茫然悼念青春。酒吧、天桥和公园成为触发回忆的公共场所，啤酒瓶、手机和前女友穿过的t是私人留念之物。哎还是那几个旧符号，都市爱情的部分也没拍出夜空密度蓝的轻盈生机。最感人的是底层员工意外断指和北村匠海自闭回家后同事来照顾他那两段吧。
故事前后脱节。交往三年才坦白已婚也太那啥了吧。
没想到这种题材也能拍出缝合怪电影。前半段和《花束般的恋爱》完全撞梗，但又没有坂元裕二的才华和巧思，结果就极为尴尬。后半段还有个自作聪明的反转，把整个电影从单纯的无聊彻底推向了浪费生命的高度。
被打得头破血流仍然疯狂蹦迪欢度新年。
