The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 营救系列杀手版；和记忆并没有太多关系，只是偶发记不起事来；真就全员黑警呗，连FBI主角三人组的上级、上上级也都不是什么好人，最好没有办法继承杀手的遗志执行私刑，也是稍微有点扯。
没有围绕失忆做出任何有构思的桥段，还是个翻拍，马丁坎贝尔这年头是彻底摆烂了，连带连姆尼森、莫妮卡布鲁奇、盖皮尔斯……说到盖皮尔斯，最有名的作品恰恰就是失忆题材的佳作我诺神的《记忆碎片》，不觉得很讽刺吗？！
都70了，要的老年痴呆症的年纪了，还在拍动作片，真励志，杀手公司没人了吗？

男主本有机会可以走的，砸下一块金子可以跟那辆路过的车一起走，贪婪的欲望永无止境。他更没有想到一个才认识不到两天的同伙会等他耗死在那里自己再独吞，我都想到了，这点挺不符合逻辑

区别于大叔之前几部廉价动作片，马丁坎贝尔的冷峻也还在，不过剧本太长太杂了，最后半小时尤其糟糕，片名记忆也没有很好展现，不过大叔和皮尔斯是能看的
老练加快准狠的范，连姆老爹客串杀手也不错，可惜英雄好汉也难敌时光流逝，英雄垂暮矣
失忆！记忆！完全没有抓住这个主题，利用好，会是一个很精彩的电影，但是本片只浮于表面了，如果不是连姆尼森+莫妮卡贝鲁奇，我都不想看，老爷子感觉被电影榨干了，已经拍不出精彩的动作片了这部电影其实可以走点心，可惜啊！
连叔实在是救不动了，赶紧退休吧，片子乱糟糟的，更不知道为啥叫记忆，就因为靠近片尾失忆了几分钟？
6分。营救叔该歇歇啦，都老年痴呆了还折腾个啥？莫妮卡完美地诠释了岁月是把杀猪刀！不过话说回来，完成度还是不错的，起码故事讲完整了。合格的好莱坞流水线产品。

昨晚看的，讲人性贪婪和不可信任的问题吧。我还是挺喜欢这种电影的拍摄风格的，国内有一些电影是这种的，但是可能是演员的演技不够精湛的问题，有时候会看不懂在演什么。但这个电影的男主演技非常好，他台词很少但是一流的演技让我紧紧的跟着他走下去，还是挺棒的一部电影，后面的结局很出乎意料，螳螂捕蝉黄雀在后。
多年的老辣杀手会因为对方是个孩子就心慈手软，这个设定就属实荒诞不经而且透漏着一股子当婊子立牌坊的味道，根子上味道就臭了，那后面的可看性也能想象了。
今年70的连森桑还能演本能杀手。很满意剧本，进场退场得顺理成章，江湖事江湖了。
记忆营救，居然想要一个杀人无数作恶多端的老爷子杀手，不要死，好好活下去。最后给被开除的警探不在场证明，可能是因为警方第一个抓的嫌疑人可能就是他吧，怕他被冤枉进监狱或者出纰漏招供了那个警员，虽然那警员没有给尼森叔说道歉（在尼森叔游轮排队杀了富婆儿子后开车跑路开枪打中了尼森叔），但是最后那一刀，才是真真正正的歉意和告慰这个侠义满满的老年杀手。
老了呀老了，演了个老人，杀手有点强行变好的感觉。
天黑路滑，这社会复杂，你往高处爬，那么就有小人来找茬，精神来自灵魂不是动手伤人
