The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 不错！但感觉有点太像纪录片，卡司换角太快，一开始没能反应过来。

有可能不太能欣赏这种一直高频歌唱的歌舞剧，911背景下依然没有感到感动，个人角度。
有点失望，以为是全程唱歌，脍炙人口那种，结果更像是话剧，舞台布置别说和被大家说穷的《摇滚红与黑》比了，疯提尔的《狗镇》都可以吊打的水平，总之属于观看失望和实际间的落差太大
关于911的并不鲜为人知的另一面，足够温馨
太好看了，太好听了！当校车司机拿过陌生语言的圣经，按照熟悉的编号告诉语言不通的游客“不用担心”时、当他们来到全纽芬兰同性恋最多的小镇时、当他们在同一个地方向不同的神祇祈祷着同一件事时、当她身为美国第一位女机长却听闻热爱的飞机变成炸弹时、当她们都有着一个消防员儿子时、当他们因一件恶性事件相遇又相爱时，我笑与泪不绝。而当他们改变着装、饮下尖叫、亲吻鳕鱼时，纽芬兰瞬间升起了太阳。

真正需要我们重视的东西，在come from away里面就展现出来了，灾难后，也许世界没有变得更好，歧视和战争还在，但我们更应该向这些islanders学习，不去想权谋和观点的碰撞，只有you’ve done the same. 经历过疫情发生的小城，当地人以自己的方式，不忍心医护人员吃泡面，从自家备好鸡鸭给他们送去。are we going to do the same?

这部舞台剧层次非常丰富，大到人道主义，小到个人友情、爱情；从种族问题讲到女性、LGBT群体的社会接纳；有生离死别，也有相遇重逢。正如剧中所唱，一些东西失去了，另一些被建立起来了。
唉
人类永远的命运共同体。爱与包容是黑暗中的光明会指引我们到底新的彼岸。疫情之后再看感受更深，我相信人性的善与美好会驱散心中的恶与隐瞒，这不就是人性之光嘛。
