The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 片中的裸露镜头有一半是多余的，甚至直接剪掉都不影响剧情。
过于聚焦，总觉得女主的形象还不够丰满，除了堕胎这件事再看不到其他的了

在国际舞台上能够备受瞩目的讲述女性堕胎故事的电影，其无论是故事年代和内容都相似，表达的想法几乎都是社会与政权在男性领导下对于女性各方面的压迫，只不过画面越来越趋于真实和残酷。“正发生”的片名则是对于当今女性堕胎在某些国家地区所处窘境的遥遥呼应，下一次，就来到现在吧。
一时的爽，换来无尽的痛苦，但这难道是应该一个人承担的么？！
难道我们的身体不属于我们自己吗？
每次看这样的电影都气得火冒三丈想骂脏话。身为女人，连自己的子宫都不能做主。就算同样是不成熟，为什么承担后果的都只是女人，男人就毫发无损？问题是现今社会还有这种事，人类到底进步在哪儿了？不值得。
从头到尾一直为女孩儿揪着心。故事很简单，但是很有冲击力。
