The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 希望编剧还是别把我们的智商按到地上磨擦，稍微有点常识吧。贾玲扮演的快递员跟感染新冠的小护士密接成那样了小护士死了她不用隔离？？蹭这波主旋律的热度有意思？没那金刚钻建议别揽瓷器活。强行感人的情节尬出天际，无语。
只想给个4分，全当是陪我妈和闺女消遣时间。
救命 我想看的是抗疫真实记录 而不是这种纯煽情瞎煽情莫名其妙的煽情 唯一好哭的地方就是七十多岁老人重返工作岗位 还有 为什么要给高亚麟夫妻再安排二胎 考虑过他们女儿的感受吗 无语死了 周冬雨的人设也不符合当时情况 迷惑
这样的题材本已与整体剧情无关，疫情下的人间百态足够触动。有喜怒哀乐、有柴米油盐、有悲欢离合、有生死离别，算不上优秀，但等得起值得～ps:扎刀扎得有点密集
2022.3.14我们依然在寒冬里，留下的眼泪也是因为被疫情偷走了三年，而不是电影本身。
啥时候能给贾玲安排个happyending啊
除去前十几分钟，后面都太尴尬，刻意煽情，忽略防疫。枯燥无聊，不如去看纪录片。
真没必要每条线都加感情戏的
历史是最好的记录者，平平无奇的电影，却又泪流不止。
作为一个湖北人，当年经历过疫情，我肯定会把这电影看完的。老年人爱情那一段看的不是太适应，感觉太肉麻了。演员用贾玲和朱一龙两个湖北演员挺符合这部片子的意境。
除了黄渤，其他我都觉得很尴尬。特别是周冬雨和贾玲搭戏的桥段。贾玲和朱一龙实力演绎，贾玲所说的“都是姐的过客。”
一部很感人的电影，但有点用力过猛了，就像有人说的，让人感觉到了压迫感，不是疫情带来的，而是剧情烘的。
本来要打4星，被50岁的高龄产妇没问题很常见恶心掉一颗星。
影片中让我忍不住落眼泪的几乎没有主演的参与，而且一幕幕在社交媒体上看过的情景再现：疫情初期决定封城武汉人真实画面、医务工作者义无反顾奔赴前线、大批物资从各省市遥远驶来…… 反而刻画的几组形象，细节没处理好，情感不够朴实细腻，越看越觉得为了煽情而煽情，最后结束时候我扫了扫全影院的人，属实冲动拥抱的不太多啊……
作为一部描写疫情的电影，却并没有侧重描写医护工作者，而是聚焦在各行各业各个阶层的平凡人中，能看到你我的影子，虽然并不太喜欢这样又乱又杂的故事剪辑，但还是有被煽情到的故事的，比如老医生的黄昏恋。这两年多来，失去了很多很多，但待到春暖花开，你我终将相见……22.03.03

确实这段抗疫过往应该歌颂和纪念，但不该以这种极不严肃的方式去纪念，而且大家不是尬就是用力过猛，各种违和，几个戏骨完全没有发挥出平时的水平，还有电影里的强行煽情让人感觉真心差！
