The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 很平庸的剧本也很平庸的电影，允儿很好看也不能掩盖选角年龄偏大了——韩国拍这种类型片真的不是强项，总感觉情绪只有放没有收，还是中国和日本拍这种片子好的多。
本尼是天才型的演员。电影的服化布景精致用心，但最打动我的是最后那些画。
有几个画面真的很美，导演也很会用镜头和音乐传递感情，文本写得很有趣，演员的表现也相当好，基本可以掩盖叙事节奏上的问题。
神神叨叨的，还挺好看的，最后一切都是love。。。lonely。。。connect。。。画的猫真好看，画画的唯一秘诀就是。。it is to see
有笑有泪的真实故事，奇迹无非是爱和坚韧的构成。永远喜欢林允儿
more like a struggled life。猫咪出场并不多，但是有些画面真是太美了，像画一样。PS：不知道何时成为一个cat person，意识到的时候，已经成为两只猫的猫奴了。
电影前小段我都快撑不下去了，直到姐姐的设定给出的那小段剧情挺饱满的。能四星完全给姐姐太神了这个设定。

面对几乎无法抬头的不间断的人生打击，还要从生活里发现美，是爱的力量。
可能是现在这种励志故事改编的电影太多了吧 如果不是拍的极其好 一般都不会被感动到 比如这部 就非常的平淡 唯一处理的特别好的转折可能就是男主姐姐那条线 但其他部分都太过平庸了 表演方面 允儿是真的又精致又美脸又小 但是! 让她演个高中生是合理的吗?? 我觉得她在这部电影里的形象演个刚入大学的新生可以毫无违和感(她都30+了 这程度已经超惊艳了) 可是年龄和气质在那摆着 就完全不是高中生的样子啊(看看隔壁Netflix的学校丧尸剧 那才是真正的高中生) 男主就更别提了 我感觉他连大学生都很难pull off…全剧最佳的表演肯定还是이성민 很真实又自然的塑造了父亲的形象 和我见过的听过的 大部分亚洲父亲都非常相似 固执隐忍 明明爱孩子却在表达爱上极为吝啬 我理解这种父亲 但同时又无法赞同这种做法
男主角好像陈志朋，说实话没有林允儿的爱情部分也无妨，不知道怎么提名青龙奖最佳女主角。。。

内核依旧是家庭温情的爱情轻喜剧，真实故事改编，韩国男演员的哭戏还是挺不错，有一定可看性。但个人还是更喜欢是枝裕和那版《奇迹》，也是有原型的儿童视角的故事设计，更感人。7分
对人物不够了解 不像一般的传记片的节奏和叙事 对于怪诞这一点突出的也没有很鲜明 但表演和爱情故事却很出彩 几个镜头也美的不像话 故事非常中心化 和其他角色以及社会的相互影响反而有些脱离了地面 是很有趣的传记片却没有什么记忆点
打光和景色很美很童话，但是男主那张脸老是出戏到梵高。
