The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 以為是文化衝突，原來是母女衝突，片中的學校太讓人壓抑，東亞的教育環境真的摧殘人。小演員不錯。
PS.中二的小棉袄漏风，当真很麻烦！
有很多不成熟，泛泛而谈没有伸展开手脚的地方，但在靠近-远离，争吵-缓和，要崩不崩，要解不解的内部结构里反复纠缠出了亲人关系状态里的“临界”风景。
自然主义表演和摄影的范本。
3.5 非典那段有几幕戏蛮有力量。对于林嘉欣，我的印象还停留在《男人四十》，岁月催人老啊……
和《瀑布》有得一比，类似题材，疫情时期，母女关系。但总是差了口气的感觉。
非典时期，我跟剧中女孩儿差不多的年纪。鸡毛蒜皮，父母子女，太真实了。林嘉欣距《暗色天堂》演技又进了一步
华语文化圈特有的家庭关系，心有白马的我们逃不脱亲情的温暖与束缚，爱与恨确实一体两面，两个女儿的英语真地道啊！

一种很用力的记录感，最后一刻，看似矛盾化解，实际这个家庭内部并没有太多何实质的进展，还有比较遗憾的一点是，非典的背景和故事没什么关系
前半部分看得喘不过气，看到了大多数华人家庭的通病明明很爱却不擅长表达爱，全剧最会表达爱也时刻在说爱的大概就是妹妹了吧。
只要是母女电影给我感触都很深… SARS 还有文化差异 很细腻
壳子不错，内容没有填的很深刻，起码是没有让人心头一震或者深深回味的部分。戏剧冲突有了，戏剧冲突没有体现出来。只能说在我这很一般。
片尾曲是陈绮贞的《尽在不言中》。
只言片语中透露出不景气经济大环境下的时代背景，从美国撤回，需要适应的不仅有疾病会夺走母亲，还有教育环境，曾经暂时缺席的父亲。
从故事到表演都没有留下太深印象的小品。“同龄人电影”这个属性这一回没有加分。
跟瀑布有点撞主题，但是更细腻真实，母女表演也很棒，Sars那个时间点现在都成了怀旧。
3.5接近四星 没有解决根本问题 有一些共通的场景情境有点触动吧 ，ps 中国妈妈的囊肿结节都是被孩子气出来的
疫情之下的家长里短，掺杂文化差异，没有过度煽情，很舒服
