The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 虽然讲述的是美国故事，但情绪表达挺东方，钢琴配乐也挺东方。通俗的讲，都是天涯沦落人，伤心人。离开人群久了，回不去了。还有那些只有自己到过，被自然感动过的瞬间。于是想，50岁也上路吧。
前半部写实得像纪录片，每个在路上的人都有自己的故事；后半部美得像一首诗，西部广阔的风景加上唯美的配乐，孤独是自由的代价。特别喜欢75岁老奶奶离开前回忆的那段话，“我觉得我这一辈子过得挺不错了“，生命的最后能说出这样的话，那么这一趟的人生也是不错的了。

导演视角、演员表演、角色困境融为一体，看似荒野中四顾茫然的人生，但每一程都使“人”的力量加增一分。

想起了《美国甜心》，想起我们这一代人，这是我们的未来吗？
Fern驶过寂寥无依的大地，白雪覆盖的公路；注视过汹涌澎湃的大海，炽热的福玻斯神光。你以为她是自由潇洒才总在路上，但失去所爱的她悲不自胜，茕茕孑立。这片孤独的大地啊，有着一样孤独的人群和孤独的灯；孤独的房车里，困扰着成百上千孤独的灵魂。
有点失望，要不是女主的演技，实在无法忍受废柴般的镜头。
到底什么才是活着呐
在爱人离开这个世界之后，所经历的一切都是为了努力保全记忆里的痕迹。我怕行人太多，我也怕痛苦的情绪占据我所有的记忆，所以我只能轻轻的面对路上的你们，我们路上再相见，我不孤单，我还有我的爱人。

谈不上喜欢。散、压抑。在路上是逃避，而其实人生最难的是面对，以及 放下。
电影四星，但因为导演之前的言语被连坐导致禁映撤档，那就打五星以表支持。

献给不得不上路的人，脑子里是John Ford，属于这个世纪的“愤怒的葡萄”，虽然“愤怒”几乎消失。
想起了《荒野生存》，没什么三段式，平铺直叙的节节生活，遇到人，被邀请，离开人，仿佛人的一生一样……总想到荒野生存中的那个小哥，如果他还活着，会不会也是无依之地的一员？
