The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 适合一个人窝在角落看的电影，两代人心灵伤痛的症结沟通。导演从一开始就埋下的暗线：以原生家庭为起点的生长环境给后代以及后代的后代酿造的悲剧。性格深处的伤痕塑造了人的方方面面，引来或是被引向相似的人，然而悲哀的是没有人能够解决这一切，在自我挣扎中走向灭亡仿佛是宿命。

看豆瓣评分很高，就给下载下来了，看了可能不到5分钟，然后快进了几下，毫不犹豫就给删掉了…
而孩子眼里的未来，也很纯真，但可能犀利。回到孩子的角度对待人和事，期待一份单纯的未来，可能是当下动荡年份里让你能获得平静的一件事。

你的孩子，Ta是属于你的，又是不属于你的，Ta爱着你，也恨着你，Ta既乖巧、懂事、体贴、幽默、天真，也敏感、叛逆、刻薄、顽固，Ta对这个世界有一套自己的看法，Ta也关心环境社会和城市的发展。黑白影像下的城市很美，让人想到了《爱丽丝城市漫游记》，小男孩的表演很灵动也很成熟，缓慢的节奏和叔侄俩平静的对白有种奇特的催眠效果。
起初有点失去耐心，但故事慢慢变得治愈。一大一小，互相治愈，甚至互相照顾。像是朋友的亲情。
