The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? With a keen eye and fresh take, Aselton’s directorial debut shines with crisp storytelling and fine-tuned performances. 遗憾因为这个该死的疫情没能看上巡演，希望世界尽快恢复正常。

挺感动的。在现有体量和形式下做得够好了…（音乐剧本身就很难把内容做得特别深）这个戏本身也像911事件中的甘德一样提供了近乎乌托邦式的美好、友善、温暖。对于戏剧应该如何改编真实事件，和当下产生互动还蛮有启发的。
形式太有意思了，音乐剧真的拥有无限张力，安慰生活在2020年以后的我，那首Prayer太震撼了，Me and the sky机长好帅气。
调度好厉害。虽然说主题立意远大于故事本身，但一个半小时我还是从头哭到尾。喜欢用圣经交流，加油站默哀，消防员妈妈和凌晨四点做德餐这几个片段！可能因为时长和故事基调，一些问题讨论得浅尝辄止。

岛民们都好善良可爱。比天灾可怕的是人祸，愿世界和平。
片长一小时46分钟。视觉+1，剧情没漏洞但不是特别吸引人+0.5，表演真实感+1，听觉+1，创新程度+0.5，给四星。
机长的演唱太精彩了，印象最深刻的一个角色，演技很棒，寓意也很好，非常有爱的一部音乐剧

年度最佳！超五星超五星超五星！！！节奏！调度！百老汇演员的专业素养！！！看到返美那段音乐可太共情了！！！
这真的是我看过现场调度最牛逼的剧了。
紧凑的编排让观众游走于焦虑，亢奋和崩溃的状态之间。

這是一部很棒的音樂劇，旋律優美，歌詞細膩多層次，結合當年發生的事件，讓人感動。

2021上映，刚好在疫情期间，又是“911”20周年，演出这样一幕剧再合适不过。来自不同地方讲着不同语言的人，因为怀有同样的普遍的人类的情感而得以相聚相惜。
