The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 这是一部节奏很慢的电影，不同于以往的西部电影刻画牛仔精神，快马快枪的感觉。本片情绪是逐渐进阶的过程，所有的张力最终凝结于亨利拔枪的一瞬。片中人物不多，但是各有故事，也阐释了在这片法外之地，以暴制暴的丛林法则！
没错，亨利就是比利小子，那个西部片中的传奇人物。稳稳当当的讲故事，顺带致敬经典、彰显自己的西部血统。

开头野外捡钱的一段神似《老无所依》。扮猪吃老虎的爽片，大白天的正面硬怼一挑12，哪怕兰博都得事先埋炸弹靠机关。话又说回来，老亨利这江湖老手了，深知不义之财来得索命，他不应该捡钱才对。一看就知道肯定不是网飞拍的，老亨利怎么可能死呢，如果效果好观众买单，肯定要整个续集的彩蛋才对。
这么怀念比利小子？让他起死回生再大战一场？炒的冷饭中规中矩，惜乎没有以往西部片的感觉了，豪情？勇敢？
太多直径老西部片和游戏（没错，就是那两部）的地方了，全程无尿点，结尾转折稍落俗套了

风格非常的西部，节奏控制得很好，人物刻画也不错，枪战很过瘾。
好想看老亨利前传，或拿了一大笔钱的小亨利后传
美国平民的持枪习惯是有历史依据的，电影不太行。
冷静，克制但不拖泥带水，美丽的西部世界，有太多传奇的悲歌

依旧保持西部片的精神内核，只是结局隐喻着西部片没落的现实，而这种现实大概起于三十年之前。
