The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 较老套的冒险喜剧，比较无聊但笑点还可以，只记住钱老板的屁股了
最近两年还真是流行这种贱兮兮的商业喜剧，带点科幻或者冒险元素，插科打诨、谈情说爱，设置些反套路的桥段，最终又回归到套路的模式。ps：布拉德·皮特以后可以多整整这种形式的客串，几乎承包了90%的笑点。
对白啰嗦，节奏奇慢，内容空泛。
金色长发的钱老板，在布拉德皮特旁边全程柔弱无助的钱老板，赤身裸体的钱老板……哎呀，就……
这种无脑丛林动作冒险片好像近两年挺多，看睡了两起，就像是主题乐园的游戏任务。最大感慨是桑德拉·布洛克竟然58了！

三颗星的意思是，还行。仅仅是，还行。幸亏还有皮特，还是那么拉风，那么有型！
布洛克快60了，体态还是没的说，不过整的和以前不大像了啊。全片快两小时了，压根没在意到底是如何探险的，110分钟左右的时间里的主题就是一伙人的插科打诨。
女主一脸疲倦面无表情，一开始以为是表演手法，后来发现是玻尿酸打多脸僵了

brad连声音都那么性感 梦中情人了属于。钱老板的肉体还是可以的…桑婆和ryan还是更配一点 可能这个nerd一点的形象确实更适合Ryan 可惜没档期啊…本来期待剧本是一个有点类似国家宝藏和地心历险记的剧本 结果是绑架 解密就一步

其实我一直get不到桑德拉布洛克演喜剧，但是老美貌似特喜欢她。。这部电影大概就是讲了。。不剧透了，至少能看 brad pitt出现再长一点我还能再多给一星
总有一种桑德拉布洛克和布拉德皮特努力扶哈利波特的感觉
除了皮特和波特，剧情也好，俩主角也好，就那样，且姐弟恋太违和了。
