The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will.     低创，不如《城市猎人》，虽然不想挑三拣四的但有些地方实在是太低创了，完全就是几个梗翻来覆去的搞，不过总体上还蛮好玩的节奏赶得上，女主的颜我也还是吃的，最后的小反转也还算用心，当然，一切都没有最后的吸尘器的光彩夺目，这吸尘器广告真没白花钱。

    虽然作为一个非篮球迷，但看这部电影的时候还是没有什么门槛，说明电影本身的类型化、故事都是做得挺好的，即使是进入了体育励志的程式化中，尤其是很喜欢中间训练的蒙太奇，节奏、剪辑都做得很棒，虽然整体显得中规中矩，但诚意满满。

    意外之喜的一部喜剧电影，假如他能引人深思或者有特别大的现实意义，值得五星。电影致敬调侃了蜘蛛侠，出现了钢铁侠，浩克，美队的影子。电影属于一层失忆套一层，结尾的情侣反转惊喜。老父亲抓到坏蛋那刻，同事祝他退休蛮感动的。老父亲光荣退休，儿子做了值得他骄傲的事。如果广告植入都如同结尾，看看这广告又何妨！？

    NBA球探是无数人梦寐以求的职业，但在斯丹利的身上却看到了背后无尽的辛酸，影片虽然讲述的是成名，但更注重的是成名的过程。这部影片拍摄真挚且用心，这也是亚当奉献给自己最爱的篮球运动的一封情书，篮球也是他的影片中必不可少的元素。《必胜球探》是一部典型的励志体育电影，虽然剧情老套，但胜在感情真挚，更重要的是影片再现了各个角色的生存现状，以及球员的不良习惯。印象深刻的是影片当中两处街头篮球的画面，热血沸腾的画面及配乐，让观众代入感很强。其中最喜欢的镜头是Bo Cruz一次又一次的训练，不断超越自我登上山顶的画面直击心坎，正如斯丹利所说“真正的对手只有你自己”。影片的最后，BoCruz新纹了一个大树图案的纹身，也像是一种隐喻，构建了整部影片的意义空间。
