The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 盖里奇犯罪片式开场，套路满满但笑得停不下来。剧情联想起《卑鄙的我》和《超级大坏蛋》，这类反类型合家欢动画是我的菜，太适合周末晚上了。

整体风格流畅活泼，妙语如珠，还有些桥段很逗，像蛇酒杯、狼外婆、鲨鱼美女什么的。
