The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 很特別的呈現方式，電影再說著墮胎對社會價值顛覆的嚴重性，但卻用近景表現出很私人的感覺。兩種方式對比起來，令人有一種糾錯的感覺。
当代女性回看这个特殊的时代也好，特殊的环境价值观也罢，再看现在，性与堕胎都是无法获得更多理解和包容的事情，而大部分男人则更加该思考这个事情的严重性
反对堕胎就是开倒车，标榜胎儿生命权就是绑架，就是在引刀杀人。

这里正发生的是接连求助两位医生无果、求助朋友无果、求助男友无果、求助同班男同学无果。
禁止堕胎就是人间酷刑，肯定是男性发明的，因为其无法设身处地体会女性心境。像是《从不》的姐妹篇，但Anne显然更孤立无援，但坚定在她脸上仿佛一刻也未消失过
