During the US Civil War, Union POWs escape in a balloon and end up stranded on a South Pacific island, inhabited by giant plants and animals. In 1865, during the siege of Richmond, Virginia, the union soldiers POW Captain Harding, Neb and Herbert escape in a balloon during a storm with two confederate prisoners, Sergeant Pencroft and the journalist Spilett. The uncontrollable wind takes the balloon to a mysterious island in the South Pacific in the area of New Zealand. Captain Harding self-proclaims the leader of the group and they look for food; sooner they discover that they are stranded in an island. Further, they are attacked by a giant crab that becomes their first meal. Along the days, they build a shelter and finds that the island is inhabited by giant animals. A couple of days later, they find two castaways on the beach, the aristocratic Lady Mary Fairchild and her sexy niece Elena. Later they find a trunk with weapons and instruments like sextant and shelter with a journal of a man left alone in the island by pirates. When the pirate vessel arrives in the island, they are helped by Captain Nemo of the Nautilus, a submarine that had supposedly sunk in the coast of Mexico eight years ago. 只能说是对汤姆汉克斯的爱才能看得下去并打个4星。美术和摄影的确非常壮美，其余的，真的就太平淡，故事太四平八稳毫无冲突和惊喜，说是科幻奇幻不如说这是一部文艺童话电影。
连人都是假的，情却那么真，看得我眼泪哗哗的。很简单的情节，角色也极少，但这将近两个小时却几乎一晃而过，丝毫不觉得单调、乏味。可能会有人觉得这片子“老土”吧，但相比那些“新潮”的，我还是更欣赏这种能让我入戏、让我产生共鸣的“老土”片儿。
我多希望更好地利用了过去的时间
这么高分真的是不至于/很老套很普通没有亮点/刻意和说教充斥了整部影片而且一股塑料感是怎么回事/说剧本不好嘛也不是但是为什么就是好看不起来呢/现在这样就可以上豆瓣年度佳片了吗
狗片和鸡汤永远都是锁死的。汤姆·汉克斯这不就是把《荒岛余生》又演了一遍。
死前教机器人养狗。故事拍的太长了，没有看着AI一起成长的那种感觉，略显无聊吧。

以为是阿西莫夫式的，结果是雷布拉德伯里式。包含隐喻的温情诗篇。这是面，里子反而有点对标科马克麦卡锡的《路》，都是父子的末日公路之旅，午夜熄灯逃亡也极像。想我们家狗子。
好在关键时刻还是能闪一下光的
勉强称之为科幻片，却是一部实实在在的公路片，没有意味深长的自我救赎，有的是薪火相传的真情实感，倒也没有期待气势磅礴的氛围或者大刀阔斧的场面，总体观感依然太过稀薄。
如果这是一个机器人的口述历史，然后镜头切到未来的当下。会上一个档次吧。

电影世界里这么多机器人。小时候喜欢哆啦A梦，中年喜欢《银河系漫游指南》里那个忧郁的机器人。到了老年就喜欢这个杰夫了吧。
因为Human Contradiction吗
有点无趣了，苹果拍的网大，虽然比网飞绝大多数有质感些，但是内容还是太空了！
和《我是传奇》放到一起来看，就能感受到末日想象中的细微变化。人类终将让位给人工智能和宠物。
