johnny和Viv兄妹之间没有共同语言可以得到对方的了解和认可，两人在日常生活中也并没有特别多的交集，而jesse和Viv同属于一家人但又有不可调和的矛盾，johnny作为中间人调和了母子俩人的感情问题，既不需要文艺片的高雅也不需要剧情片的充实感，让彼此通过第三者了解了更多的彼此的秘密。
