The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. 表面上看好像又是一部以儿童为主角的恐怖片，但是主题关乎个人成长，注意我说的是“个人”而不是“儿童”，片中小男孩芬尼的不幸遭遇，也可以说是个人人生种种困境的隐喻，落入困境的我们都是小男孩芬尼，我们都跟芬尼一样经历了从害怕无助到勇敢面对最后成长的过程，所以本片其实是一则黑色寓言，而恐怖片只是提供了一个形式而已。
不是特别喜欢超自然的恐怖片。

演技很怪，人物很怪，剧情也很怪，那些人的想法我也看不懂。。。。

小众小成本惊悚片，其实一点都不吓人，胆小的同学们可以放心食用。整体的完成度还可以，但是有一些软件问题：这个反派存在感真的好弱，最后被秒杀我真是WTF；还有妹妹的那一条情节线基本上没有什么作用，某种程度上算得上是累赘了。硬件问题基本没有，导演的把控力还是可以的，虽然故事经不起太细致的推敲，但是还是能让观众（比如说我）投入进去。总体上三颗星，打发时间可看。
