The story appears simple on the surface, but is revealed, especially after multiple viewings, as more multi-layered and textured than Cassavetes at his best. Ostensibly it concerns a 14-year old Catholic girl, Wynne (Agutter) growing up in this post-modern wasteland, who develops a crush on her much older adoptive brother (Marshall)- a crush which perversely deepens and grows into infatuation once she starts to believe he is the local sex killer. This is in itself an idea that makes you sit up and jolt, but as the narrative develops, it continues not necessarily along a linear path but in several confusing and fascinating directions: the family's history, (detailed effectively in chilling flashback during an improvised seance) is a chequered one, and has suffered at least one major relocation and upheaval in the last ten years. At the crux, however, it's the depiction of socialal changes that make I Start Counting so fascinating and elevate its language far beyond the confines of the standard horror film. The major subtext- that teenage girls were maturing more quickly than before, and developing full sexual and romantic appetites (even if in thought rather than deed) but were not possessed of enough discretion to make the right choices- was a step forward for a genre in which its young females had previously been portrayed as bimbo victims (Cover Girl Killer and The Night Caller spring to mind), but not one that all viewers would necessarily agree with. But most striking of all, and possibly the most enduring image which the viewer will take away with them, is of the masterful symbolism with which director Greene invests every shot. Every inch of the Kinch family's world- their house, their walls, their TV, Agutters underwear, bedroom furniture and toys, Sutcliffe's clothes, Marshalls van, the local Catholic church, their town centre, their record shop) - is painted a bright, scintillating white- a white which, by inference, is slowly becoming smudged and corrupted with the dirt of the outside world. White also symbolises, of course, purity and innocence (two qualities Catholic schoolgirls are supposed to hold dear), and it is into this world of innocence that the ever-present red bus (a symbol of violation and penetration), conducted by the lecherous yet similarly juvenile Simon Ward, makes regular journeys. The allegory is further expanded in one scene where Agutter believes she sees the Christ figure in church weeping blood: by the time we acknowledge it, its gone, but the seed has already been planted. Rarely in a genre production has the use of colour and background been so important or effective in creating a uniformity of mood. I Start Counting is as near-perfect an end to a decade as one could hope for, and exactly the kind of film people should be making now- which is, of course, exactly why they never will. 动画做得很不行啊，绝大部分人物动作都很廉价，尤其是走动，感觉就像是动画制作软件预设动作直接拿来用/就像那些在背景走动的3D游戏人物动作。咸鱼强的表情比主角三人组的表情要做得好点，大部分表情毫无情感可言。但为何里面的人物一微笑就黄祸脸？没说的那么严重但黄祸设计还是有的。而且有些表情/动作很美式3D动画，我是感受不到中国独特审美。台词写得好烂。里面女性形象塑造非常不符合社会主义价值观。疯狂用蒙太奇，但毫无张力。总的来说，哪有中国独特的审美在里面啊？剧作烂俗也没中国古典文学的气质，动画制作要么廉价要么一样学的欧美表达。

太美了，第一次看见动画里有不轻飘飘的，让人believable的中国村子，城市，天空，树，人，烟火。扎扎实实的有真实感的角色，鼓点打在心上，好想去佛山看舞狮。可能是国产动画top5 //igc
汉克斯还是很擅长演这种温情片，哪怕是这种灾难之后看到汉克斯都会觉得有希望。一个中年男人的养娃历程。

之前没看之前看了一篇关于本动画丑化国人的文章想评1星，后来想想自己还没看不应该评分，今天看完后我打了5星，助力一下
机器人在创作上需要一个陌生化的处理，不能一上来就通人性，否则就是一个毛躁青年的角色而已。从数据思维到人类思维这个跨越处理得极其简单。
虽是个套路励志故事，画面在国漫中简直又上个新高度，该有的动态小效果都有，小蚊虫，风动的树叶之类的，总算得到一下满足，但还不是很满足，可以做的更丰富更细节。歌曲用的也丰富，很为影片加分。7.4
这部片子太难得，不仅没有僵尸，也没有团伙军阀、没有大阴谋，只是纯粹孤独、带着浪漫的公路片。
「但人物那眯眯吊眼的设计真是丑出了天际，即便不考虑种族歧视问题，你整这个丑x形象就不觉得恶心？中国人长这样？减三星吧」
汤姆汉克斯一生致力于让各种智商线上的美国人，都能不耗费脑细胞的理解他上演的每一个故事。并且极力在最低道德水平线以上高高跃起，以免不小心触到任何可能存在的底。真是辛苦惨了。

整体挺好莱坞的，有的地方甚至有点刻意套路。但是中国电影能有基本套路的样子也是进步。很优秀，情感有穿透力，今年少有的好电影，值20亿。配曲配乐非常牛逼了，上映要去看！

电影世界里的机器人，我最爱的是瓦力，现在又多了一个谢夫。
故事很励志温馨，没有过分煽情，一切都恰到好处。对末世的描绘以及人性的险恶，都为影片增色不少。
故事既俗套又粗糙，但岭南特色、经典港乐、致敬周星驰、乐夏齐刷刷等，一半是情怀，一半是火焰，还是看得我身在其中了。阿娟、阿猫、阿狗等角色，都丑得很土著很可爱，身为粤人，不必觉得被辱了。
