The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 自由的代价是什么?
故事挺套路化的，顺带了解了一下真实事件，过于“正确”，原创部分较多。
班会和表彰大会的剧情让人手脚蜷缩，味儿太正了。全片最精华的台词：「现在，漫画、电视剧之类常出现同性恋设定，大家装出一副理解的样子，然而实际出现在面前，不还是充满好奇？难道没有把他代入某个角色看待吗？」
影片所依据的真实事件，发生在1980年1月25日的南非。十年后曼德拉才出狱。
豆瓣的评分真的没有太多参考价值了。多么卓越的电影，尤其是疫情时代看，简直刺痛心扉。自由的代价是什么？自由从来不免费，所以才会滋生大量的奴才。我竟然哭了，这样的题材电影并不多见，尤其近年黑人平权影视都快令我审美疲劳。所以这部电影才卓越。因为他远远超出了种族。一种不合理的制度，最终损害的绝非某一特定群体性的利益，而是除了保障极小部分阶层之外，伤害褫夺了绝大部分群体。可悲的是认识到的太少，又抑或认识到又愿意接受苟且的人太多。
剧作有一定基础。表达上很常规，冲突设置的新意也不太足，某些细节比较直白粗浅。在取舍上更偏向于娱乐性。另外：蝎子王也老了呀！
这种电影从电影工业角度没什么可说的，无非就是在有限的场景里依靠演员和矛盾冲突把故事与观众紧密的带入到一起，引起共情，达到最佳的影像效果
与其，在躲闪之间不被认同，
