一个是单亲家庭却渴望成功的穷孩子，一个是不被认可却才能出众的脱北者，两个「社会底层」的相遇，势必会产生一定程度上的心灵共鸣。电影是蛮有趣，但是对于所谓「奇怪国家」的初始刻画依然是闭塞、古怪、性情顽固不化的偏执狂形象，这也符合南韩人民对朝鲜政权由来已久的刻板印象。且最终在「大韩民国」精神的感召下，「脱北者」必将重获新生。其实电影立足于热血、励志、坚韧奋斗的核心就好，「身份差异」这种老一套的「精神输出」建议韩影就别再搞了，不咋高级，更不咋高尚。
