The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 对比那些从自身经历拍出自己早起作品的导演，赵婷的电影乍一看似乎没什么过多的她过去的痕迹，然而等真的看完这部电影，却感到从头至尾都是她这些年来的走过的飘摇如浮萍的人生经历的呈现，她优越就优越在她从中提炼出的普世性的东西远远超越了民族性和个体性，四处斩获好评正是因为共鸣跨越国界；虽然仍存有些相对年轻导演的拘谨，但全片的气质与配乐一样，忧伤而平静如水的钢琴声，无家可归与无房可归是两回事，哪怕有温暖的床铺与家人，有些前行重新上路却是没有选择的，最飙泪的是这一路上多少说出口的和无声的再见啊，可他还是认为再见不是诀别，我们会在路上重逢，本来还觉得导演不够决绝残酷，此句一出，真是悲伤心碎到底了 | 越来越觉得规定要带口罩观影挺好的，正好可以兜住我的眼泪呜呜
私认为配乐有些过满，冲淡了荒凉感，稀释了演员原本极好的情绪。
