The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. 任何国家任何地方都有不公的事，有的地方能说，有的地方不能说
近3个小时的时长，却丝毫不会无聊，只能说精彩绝伦。电影本身也实现了多角度讨论:女性处境、教育腐败、政治阴谋、体制溃烂、种族歧视、舆论煽动、媒体操控、正义边界、法律公信等等，最精彩的是法庭辩论的部分，它不光是情节最大的舒张点，而更是一场关于法律与正义的辩论。
48:33 警察在街道上追捕犯罪嫌疑人的这个场景，应该是想表达，他们很低调的，不以警察的身份来追捕嫌犯的过程，因为前面有交代过4名犯罪嫌疑人为政府的党派做过一些脏活。但是在这一时刻警车离开时，并没有亮警灯，而音效师画蛇添足地加了一段警笛的音效，就和前面低调行事而相矛盾。
这是个操蛋的世界，还好可以从电影里找到希望，看到未来。

电影不应该是工具，无论对上面还是对下面来说，但针对眼下现实这几乎是不可避免的
