The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 估计Edgar Wright的巅峰就是《僵尸肖恩》了，离开Simon Pegg后剧本水平一路下滑。其实拍完Baby Driver，他就应该转拍大厂行活，视听剪辑上的功夫还是秒灭James Gunn之类的。作为重度007粉丝，Edgar Wright再次在片中反复致敬，今年《无暇赴死》最后没选他执导，真是双方共同的遗憾。

没导演本身风格那味了，不知道是不是为了电影风格妥协。

挺特别的。错位重合，视觉感很奇妙。有些桥段，欢快乐曲配紧张氛围，反差美。

桑迪佝偻蹒跚着挥舞凶器时，火焰折射出盛装美好的自己从容登台自由歌唱的荣光，这一幕真的太美太悲情了。
华美、糜烂与黑暗，风格化的叙事佐以复古音乐不要太迷人。
埃德加赖特的《穆赫兰道》。女性视角的男权压迫原始恐惧，这个主题显然太过难为一个男性导演了。尽管有极致的迷幻视听，却掩盖不了表达混乱和主旨模糊的里层问题。
视听声效相当精准地长在了我的恐怖点上，厌男发作。但最后的结局让我如鲠在喉，感到不快。
非常不“埃加德莱特”的一部电影，抛去了导演以往所有作品的影子，这次大玩恐怖、铅黄、梦境和意识，既cult又不落入俗套，两个女孩之间的反复切换让观众不至于审美疲劳。但这样的不妥协也必然带来的结果是观众评价的两极分化严重，没有了“血与冰激淋”反套路化的模式，企图突破以往的作品，埃加德莱特的前程势必艰辛
结尾的处理得扣分了，太潦草。其实相比性别议题，我看到的更多是导演埃德加赖特本人对这部影片的个人投射，很容易就想到几年前他被迫放弃执导《蚁人》，尽管他为那部电影的剧本投入大量的精力。本片里的Sandie同样在追逐梦想的道路上面临放弃自我，讨好恶魔的境地，像噩梦一样环绕在两个女主身边。我相信赖特依然对当初《蚁人》未能成行而耿耿于怀，这些年的魂牵梦绕，为《Soho区惊魂夜》提供了不少情感支撑。
一直在一星和五星之间跳跃，不愧是你，Edgar Wright。声画过载严重剥削了这个电影🎬
Rather disappointing. The whole thing is wrapped up in such elaborate lavishness and meticulous homage that one could hardly find a single shred of spontaneous fun. Edgar Wright is so steeped in film history by this point that he seems to have already lost his own originality.
