The Freebie centers on Darren (Shepard) and Annie (Aselton), a young married couple with an enviable relationship built on love trust and communication. Darren and Annie still enjoy each other’s company and laugh at each other’s jokes, but, unfortunately, they can’t remember the last time they had sex. When a dinner party conversation leads to an honest discussion about the state of their love life, and when a sexy bikini photo shoot leads to crossword puzzles instead of sex, they begin to flirt with a way to spice things up. The deal: one night of freedom, no strings attached, no questions asked. Could a freebie be the cure for their ailing sex life? And will they go through with it? 罗马在前，BP一定无望。不过一定能拿最佳原创歌曲！电影可以拍给自己，但也终究是要在大银幕上放给观众看的。如果仅仅是个人的回忆影像，就像一本私人相册。我有什么理由和兴趣要去翻看别人的家庭相册呢？在影像的普世意义上，与《罗马》毫无可比性。

29/7/2022 @ PREMIERE ELEMENTS [euff]。雖然部份情節真的太瑣碎，也感覺不到小主角在經歷各種事情後有任何成長，但那種對自己故鄉的感情還是狠狠地打中我。無論去或留也是個痛苦的抉擇啊….
同样是儿童视角的回忆往事，同样精致的摄影运用，本片更显一份童真有趣，音乐不错。

What works还是1969年北爱尔兰这个历史性的背景，把影片的深度和维度都拔高了，(thanks to当年写过Derry Girls 3000字essay 还算有了解)。Kenneth Branagh再次证明是个mediocre导演；摄影方面的deep focus, 构图有点公民凯恩的风格，但挺不适合这种家庭回忆的drama... still, rooting for Caitriona Balfe to get that Oscar!
